It is my great privilege to serve as the Principal here at Ascension Lutheran School. I have seen the "One Ascension" community change lives for over 15 years, and I was thrilled to recently transition from a 13-year career at Oaks Christian School to lead here at Ascension in January of 2022. During my tenure at Oaks Christian, I consistently observed the character and academic acumen of Ascension's students. From TK through our 8th grade, our stellar faculty and research-based curriculum intentionally instill and model our values. As a proud parent of a former and current Ascension student, I can attest to Ascension's legacy of raising young men and women of character who lead, inspire, and serve.

 

Here at Ascension every student is known and loved, we teach our students to love all of creation and worship the God who made it, and we foster an environment of academic excellence. We believe that the deepest learning emerges from the well-spring of curiosity inside each growing young mind. Our Outdoor Classroom and Makerspace are distinctives that encourage students to ask deep questions, and provide inquiry and project-based learning. 

 

We have invested over $250,000 in upgrades to our facilities and curriculum recently in order to ensure that our campus is equipped with everything we need in order for your child to reach their potential. Ascension is one of very few "Nature Explore" certified campuses in Southern California, and we love to take our students outside for their lessons and activities.

 

Our weekly chapels come alive in our beautiful sanctuary. Students play joyfully on our newly-renovated play structure and spacious playing fields. Our sports teams utilize our gym, which also hosts a fully-functional stage for musical or dramatic performances. From spiritual formation, to academics, to the arts and athletics, Ascension Lutheran School nurtures and forms the whole child into someone who inspires and serves others in their walk with Jesus Christ.
