Outdoor Education gives our students meaningful learning and growth opportunities beyond the classroom. This week, middle school students at Ascension set off to expand their learning, build community, and create lasting memories. 5th-grade students went to El Camino Pines for several days of community camp activities and environmental learning experiences. 6th and 7th-grade students headed to Catalina Island where they will enjoy adventures such as snorkeling, hiking, and kayaking. They will study astronomy, attend sea life lectures, and participate in science labs. Our 8th-grade class journeyed to Washington DC to explore American history in our nation’s capitol. We cannot wait to hear all about their incredible adventures upon their return!
