As part of our new enrichment class programming, middle school students (grades 5-8th) will rotate each trimester and each experience Artistic Expressions, Masterminds and The Great Outdoors.
In Artistic Expressions students will paint, draw and sculpt using a variety of mediums including wood, clay, origami, metal and more! The art projects will be fun and whimsical as well as providing a strong fine arts education to our students.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
In the Great Outdoors enrichment course students will learn to notice and appreciate God’s creation. They will hike, explore outside, learn to pitch a tent and grow in their appreciation of the world around us. In addition, students will be learning outdoor survival skills including outdoor first aid, identifying poisonous snakes, bugs and animals, how to safely light a campfire and much more.
We want our students to know that they are capable of changing the world. In Masterminds students will be doing robotics, coding and computer programming to create things in our Makerspace. Our students are will utilize their complex thinking and problem solving skills to create and learn to use technology in as a positive force in everyday life. There is no limit to the places the students’ ideas and creativity and ideas may take off to in this class.
